- solution 1 “Hatch”, HTX’s innovation hub, encourages an entrepreneurial, dare-to-try mindset, where employees can access opportunities to collaborate with international start-ups to explore cutting-edge solutions to challenge statements to address homeland security issues. This helps to broaden employees’ perspectives towards problem solving.
- 2 Annual HTX “Undaunted Award” to celebrate individuals and teams who had encountered failures in their innovation journey and bounced back, having learnt lessons from past failures.
- “3 TIGER” team, led by HTX’s Chief Innovation Officer seeks to support employees to innovate everything, everywhere, all at once, by putting in place programmes to equip employees with requisite design skills and removing bureaucratic processes to improve efficiency.
- 5 Trained ‘Lego Builders’ - culture builders & sense-makers within Divisions, who serve as the ears on the ground and the amplifiers of employees’ concerns and suggestions.
- 4 Weekly ‘Feel Good Fridays’ support employees to focus their Friday afternoons on activities relating to “Team-building, Personal Growth, Introspection and Wellness”.

- 3 Sponsorship programme to equip employees to tackle future challenges through certifications and post-graduate studies. It also includes relevant professional membership and accreditation for employees to tap on, to keep themselves updated on industry practice and networks.
- 1 With competency-driven growth approach, HTX’s robust technical competency framework includes proficiency level certification, provides objective evaluation of employees’ capabilities, and informs decisions regarding appointments and career development plans.
- 2 In-house technical courses, such as project and product management courses, ensure that employees’ skills are current and aligned with work demand. These courses are well received by participants as they could discuss challenging cases at work and network across the organisation.
